Night Vision Goggles - Vladimir Donev

In this project, I modeled night vision goggles with my spin on the design.
I incorporated my workflow that is personalized to my way of creating models, such as using various add-ons that make the polygon-based software work and feel like CAD software.
"Once you understand the rules then you can break them"

There is an ongoing misconception among the 3D community that Ngons are bad which isn't far from the truth but that all depends on the use case of the model.

I utilize booleans wherever I can which will lead to Ngons but that won't matter since this is an object that IS going to be animated but NOT deformed.

Starting with a mid-poly mesh wasn't needed in this case since the model didn't require much high-poly detail except edge bevels and chamfers which I achieved by baking normal bevels with a shader.

Which then makes the modeling process very straightforward.
